Yoga

“Yoga is like music: the rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and the harmony of the soul, create the symphony of life”

– B.K.S Iyengar

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

Each pose is performed in a specific order, which has the effect of ‘unlocking’ the body and preparing it for the next pose. All poses have specific health benefits, and when combined into a flowing sequence, they result in detoxification and realignment of the body and nervous system. This practice helps develop inner strength, flexibility, and can improve overall health and well-being. Classes are primarily based on the primary series with some occasional second and intermediate series components.

Yin Yoga

Yin is in! The busier our lives become, the more we feel a need to give back to our body & mind to find balance. Yin yoga is slow and steady with a sense of core softness and surrender. We passively work with the connective tissues, asking the muscles to take a back seat within the application of poses. Enhancing the health of our connective tissue and working with the meridian pathways, we can improve our overall health, immunity and emotional wellbeing.

Yang Yin Yoga

Yang Yin Yoga combines passive pose holding with dynamic sequences, blending deep connective tissue focus (Yin) with muscle strengthening and blood flow enhancement (Yang). It balances inward relaxation with outward energizing movements, promoting overall physical and mental well-being.

Strength & Flexibility Yoga

Strength and Flexibility Yoga” is a dynamic practice that combines targeted strength-building with stretching techniques. It enhances muscle tone, flexibility, and overall mobility through poses that promote muscular endurance and core stability. These are complemented by stretches that release tension and improve range of motion. Suitable for all levels, this practice encourages mindfulness and proper alignment for a balanced experience.

Yoga Flow

Yoga Flow is a creative form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence.

The beauty of Yoga Flow is the variety. There is no standard sequence in Vinyasa yoga, so the style, pace and intensity varies.

Nature's Breath Yoga

Coming this spring as the days grow warmer! Nature’s Breath Yoga allows you to connect with nature, immersing yourself in a practice that harmonises breathwork, movements, and mindfulness amidst the beauty of our garden surroundings. This unique yoga session invites you to rejuvenate your body and mind, fostering a profound sense of peace and well-being with every breath.

Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness and Meditation

“Meditation is not an escape. It is the courage to look at reality with mindfulness.”

– Thich Nhat Hanh

Guided meditation

A regular mindfulness and meditation practice improves the physical structure and function of the brain, reduces stress, improves focus, and slows aging of the brain.

There are many different types and levels of mediation and mindfulness practices. Taking guided classes can help you find the practice that resonates with you.

Take a breather

With pranayama we practice regulation of the breath. We achieve this by conscious awareness and control of our own breath. This practice relaxes and opens our mind and prepares us for mediation and our yoga poses. Pranayama practices are often part of our yoga and meditation classes.

Acupressure

Acupressure

Five Element Acupressure

Unlike acupuncture, which uses needles, acupressure relies on touch. The style Christina practices is based on the Five Elements, and she likes to pair it with complementary practices such as yin yoga, meditation, and breath work.

This approach can address a range of issues, including stress, chronic pain, digestive problems, insomnia, migraines, menstrual and menopausal symptoms, and emotional imbalances.

Christina is drawn to this holistic approach because it integrates both physical and emotional well-being, fostering overall healing and vitality.

Pre-bookings are essential. You’ll be asked to complete an intake form prior to your first appointment. Feel free to book online or contact Christina.
